How to compare Plants

Criteria that change the selection

Do not compare by name or photograph alone. Record each of these variables so the yard can separate genuinely useful alternatives.

• Compare botanical identity, mature size, growth habit, sun, water, soil, hardiness, seasonal interest, and maintenance.
• Match trees, shrubs, perennials, grasses, succulents, groundcovers, and aquatic plants to the site and design role.
• Inspect the current individual plant for size, form, root condition, active growth, and seasonal appearance before acceptance.

Terminology and variants

Container size is a nursery trade description, not guaranteed plant height or maturity; botanical name is safer than a changing common name.

When requesting a quote, use the full product name, variant, size or finish, and the unit shown on the record. One informal word can cover materials that behave differently.

Measurement and quantity

Create a planting schedule by species and container size, count each zone, apply the designed spacing, and keep replacement allowance explicit.

Keep areas, layers, depths, cuts, compaction, and waste separate. Convert to tons only when verified density exists for the exact product and condition; otherwise keep the volume and ask for help.

Pickup, delivery, and fulfillment

Confirm current specimens, hold policy, acclimation, watering before transport, upright vehicle space, wind protection, unloading, and prompt planting care.

Price, stock, lead time, minimums, loading, unloading, and delivery service are confirmed for the requested quantity, variant, address, and timing.
